Assateague Island Midday Tour

WHY WE LOVED THIS TOUR

"This tour was perfect as we were able to get outside and see Assateague Island during the week. We were driven through the park and saw the famous horses, then onto the off road section where there were way fewer people. We were lucky enough to see dolphins swimming too. Parking right on the water and not having to carry any items was incredible, and we didn't have to walk or do any planning. We were able to take a swim, get out of the water and enjoy our lunch!

Overview:

Are you interested in visiting Assateague Island during the day and enjoying your time on the beach?

 

Escape the crowds, swim, surf, relax, eat lunch, and enjoy a drink on our midday tour on Assateague Island OSV.

​

This shorter (versus our beach day) private tour is offered every weekday (except holidays), providing round trip transportation to Assateague Island National Seashore. 

​

Itinerary:

​

Morning: Meet at Ocean City Park and Ride for departure. Please arrive 10 minutes prior. If you are staying in West Ocean City or Berlin, we provide pick up and drop off directly at your lodging, just let us know upon booking.

​

On the short drive to Assateague Island we will talk about the park's rich history, ecosystem, horse population, and more. We will drive through the developed area to spot wildlife along the way, then bypass the crowds by entering the off road / over sand section of the park. We will drive down the beach, explore, and set up beach chairs, beach canopies and tables for you to enjoy your lunch. Feel free to take a swim or catch a wave, play some beach games or just relax!

FREE FAMILY PHOTO: When the lighting is best during the trip, we can take a picture of your group with a DSLR camera. This will be sent to you after the trip at no extra cost.

 

Noon: Around this time we will start to pack up and depart from Assateague Island OSV, then drop off at your vehicle or lodging.
