Sunset on Assateague Island

WHY WE LOVED OUR TOUR

"As a couple we were able to enjoy a peaceful beach experience as the sun went down on Assateague Island. It was quiet and extremely refreshing. Sitting around a campfire on the beach while roasting marshmallows for s'mores was a special experience."

"Our group was visiting Ocean City and looking for something different. We were able to see the horses and other wildlife while driving through the park and even on the beach. The night sky was beautiful as you are away from any buildings or light."

This trip is perfect for families, couples or small groups looking for something special. Enjoy a drink or glass of wine* while sitting around a campfire with your loved ones. Roast marshmallows over a fire with your kids. Our Sunset on Assateague Island experience provides round trip transportation to Assateague Island OSV / off road and all the beach supplies to make your experience one of a kind.

Itinerary:

4:30pm: Meet at Ocean City Park and Ride for departure. Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior. If you are staying in West Ocean City or Berlin, we provide pick up and drop off directly at your lodging, just let us know upon booking.

Along the short drive to Assateague we will discuss the island's rich history, its formation, ecosystem, horse population, and more. When arriving at the park, we will do our best to spot wildlife, including the famous horses. Depending on the day and season, the developed area can get very crowded, which we will bypass by entering the off road / over sand vehicle section of the park.

We will then drive down the beach and find a secluded spot right on the water to relax and enjoy Assateague as day turns to night. We can build a small campfire to roast marshmallows and make s'mores. Feel free to bring any food (i.e. hot dogs) that you would like to cook over a fire. Alcohol is allowed, we ask that you bring your favorite drinks which we can store in a cooler for the trip. Your group or family can also play beach games, swim, boogie board, surf, walk the beach, and more.

FREE FAMILY PHOTO: During the trip, when the lighting is best, we can take a group picture of your family on the beach with a DSLR camera. This will be sent to you after the trip at no extra cost.

Depending on the time of the sunset, we will start to pack up and depart from Assateague Island OSV, then drop off at your vehicle or lodging.
